Jangan Percayai Informasi!

Alkisah, ada sebuah perlombaan di sebuah desa. Lomba khas 17 Agustusan itu salah satunya adalah panjat pinang. Tapi, ada yang istimewa sore itu. Pinangnya kali ini diolesi cairan yang sangat sangat licin, yang katanya, tak mungkin dipanjat. Karena itu, hadiah yang diberikan terhitung besar. Uang jutaan! Sang panitia berani memberikan hadiah sebesar itu karena merasa yakin tak ada yang bisa memanjat pinang tersebut. Sampai sore, memang tak ada satu pun peserta yang berhasil. Berbagai cara ditempuh, seperti mengoleskan pasir ke tubuh, hingga mengoleskan lem superkuat untuk merekatkan diri pada pinang. Setelah hampir tak ada yang berhasil, serombongan orang datang untuk mencoba. Karena sejak pagi tak ada yang berhasil, maka orang-orang pun menyoraki rombongan tadi. “Hoiii… percuma kalian mencoba. POTENSI DAN MANFAAT SELF-PUBLISHING

05 Agustus 2008 – 13:29   (Diposting oleh: Editor) Seri Artikel Write & Grow Rich Tren penerbitan mandiri ( self/independent publishing ) sudah tak terbendung lagi. Kini, semakin banyak saja individu atau lembaga dari berbagai strata sosial dan ekonomi memanfaatkannya. Keberadan mereka, di satu sisi sungguh-sungguh semakin menggairahkan dinamika penerbitan nasional. Namun di sisi lain, menjamurnya penerbitan mandiri juga berarti “tercuri”-nya sebagian dari ceruk atau potensi pasar penerbitan-penerbitan umum. Walau begitu, sejauh tren tersebut semakin memperkaya khasanah perbukuan nasional, rasanya patut disambut positif. Mengapa self/independent publishing menggejala bahkan bisa dikatakan semakin ngetren? Barangkali, itu merupakan pendobrakan atas dominasi cara penerbitan sebelumnya yang masih didominasi oleh penerbitan-penerbitan umum.
