Jika Kami Bangga, Apa yang Kamu Banggakan? Cerita Motivasi dan Inspirasi Nomor 1

Setelah makan malam, tampak semua anggota keluarga Jodi bersantai ria. Bapaknya membaca koran. Ibu dan adik perempuannya menonton TV. Dan ia sedang asyik ber-sms ria dengan temannya. Beberapa menit, masing-masing orang menikmati apa yang ia kerjakan.

“Ma! Foto-foto Papa waktu kuliah dulu diletak dimana ya?” “Mau diambilin, Pa? Di lemari kamar!”

“Iya… Papa mau lihat fotonya teman. Tulisannya muncul di koran hari ini!”

Ibu Jodi pun bergerak meninggalkan adik perempuannya menonton TV sendirian. Masuk ke kamar, dan beberapa saat kemudian keluar dengan beberapa kotak sepatu. Setelah dibuka, ternyata isi kotak sepatu itu adalah foto-foto kenangan keluarga Jodi. Foto semenjak ayah ibunya masih menempuh bangku kuliah dahulu, pacaran dan akhirnya menikah. Memori yang sangat memikat.

Melihat kedua orang tua mereka asyik melihat-lihat foto kenangan, Jodi dan adik perempuannya pun tak tahan untuk mendekat dan melihat foto-foto yang sebagian kertasnya telah menguning. Membolak-balik lembaran demi lembaran foto. Bertanya jika tak tahu siapa yang ada dalam foto. Dan begitu seterusnya.

Hingga Jodi melihat kedua orang tuanya sedang menggendong seorang bayi dengan bangga di hadapan keluarganya. Jodi tak tahu itu siapa. Lantas ia bertanya, “Ini siapa, Pa?”. Bapaknya meminta lembaran f

Superiority Comes from Character, Not Blood

We find them in every epoch and in all lands.
