“Huhh.. kenapa sih nilai ulangan matematikaku selalu… saja jelek! Padahal aku kan sudah belajar?” tanya Nanda sambil berdecak kesal. “hay, Nanda? Kamu kenapa? Kok suntuk begitu sih?” tanya Nida teman Nanda. “gini, Nid. Tadi aku kan ulangan Matematika, tapi nilaiku jelek. Padahal aku sudah belajar!” kata Nanda. “m.. gini aja Nan, kamu coba belajar lebih giat lagi, dan hilangkan rasa tidak percaya diri dan tidak bisa dari dalam dirimu. Sebelumnya aku mau tanya, kamu benci gak sama pelajaran Matematika?” tanya Nida. “m.. Iya sih Nid. Aku benci… banget sama pelajaran Matematika. Soalnya, aku males… banget kalau belajar hitung-hitungan. Bikin puyeng kepala!” kata Nanda. “m.. itulah masalahnya! Kamu pasti tidak suka pelajaran itu. Makanya kamu anggap sepele dan jadinya nilaimu jelek deh. Coba kamu belajar lebih giat. Atau kamu mau belajar di rumahku?” tawar Nida. “ok, jam berapa?” tanya Nanda riang. “Jam 03.00 sampai jam 05.00” kata Nida lagi. “oh ya sudah! Dah sampai ketemu ya,” kata Nanda berlari riang keluar dari pagar sekolah. Nida hanya tersenyum sambil melambaikan tangan.

Sampai di rumah, Nanda langsung berganti baju dan makan siang. Lalu, dia melirik jam di rumahnya. Jam 14.45. ia lalu berkemas menyiapkan buku Matematikanya, dan ia pergi ke rumah Nida dengan berjalan kaki karena rumah Nida dekat dengan rumah Nanda.
